increase in overall revenue

300%

increase in new online donors

$5,000

Middle of the Month Giving

Akron – Canton Regional Foodbank of Ohio already had their November campaign run, with plans to run another campaign at the end of December around the Christmas time but wanted to see if they could further their results by squeezing in another campaign that increased their middle of December giving.

Swift Digital Campaign

RKD quickly implemented a Heart-Warming Meals campaign that included Double and Triple Match offers during the week of December 11. We used emails and lightboxes on Akron – Canton Regional Food Bank of Ohio’s website for promotion; the lightbox creative tied into their Selfless Elf 5k run that would cap off that week, with an animated donation thermometer in the shape of an elf stocking.

Drastic Increase in Revenue and Donors

A middle of the month campaign proved to be just what Akron – Canton Regional Food Bank of Ohio needed and more.

The campaign performed so well that both match funds were met in just 2.5 days, ending the campaign earlier than its planned week-long stint. Overall online revenue increased 145% more than this time period the previous year, along with 300% more new, online donors. There was also a $5,000 gift received during the campaign.

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank was formed in 1982 by a group of community leaders who made a commitment to provide emergency food to our neighbors in need. Today, the Foodbank provides food and other essential items to member hunger-relief programs in eight Northeast Ohio counties. These member programs operate nearly 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods and communities where people need food.
